Timeline

The timeline shows the development of the intervention over a period of 2 months. In the timeline, the stages of the process are shown, followed by the acts that took place within the stage, where and when these acts took place, and who was involved and present during the acts. It can be seen that the students (that's us!) were present for every act, and the policymakers joined us at certain moments: to attend lectures, visit the workshop in The Hague, and during the coach for conversation, in which we travelled throughout the Netherlands to visit all the neighbourhoods that were studied during the course.

the intervention should be seen as a process and not just a single performance

The intervention can best be understood as the series of lectures, meetings and workshops leading up to the staging of an intervention in the neighbourhood. Thus

the intervention should not be seen a single performance. Each act with the students has had its own role in the development of the final outcome, and each act involving the policymakers has played into the process of policymaking.
